Police in Kitagwenda District have launched an investigation into the burning of a residential house owned by Levi Amarakutunga, the district councilor representing persons with disabilities (PWDs).
The incident occurred on Thursday, just a day after Amarakutunga and three others were remanded on charges of kidnapping, murdering, and sacrificing a four-year-old girl, Trinah Ainomugisha.
Local leaders and passersby discovered the house, located in Kanyara village, Kikondo Ward, Kabujogera Town Council, engulfed in flames.
Mary Mugizi, the female councilor representing Kikondo Ward, stated that she was informed about the fire by the Officer in Charge of Kabujogera Police Post.
