Shock at Pamvil Primary!! School Director Arrested for Locking Up Pupils For Days Without Food Over Fees

Must read

In a shocking incident at Pamvil Primary School, Nsangi Police Division has arrested the school’s director, Ntalo Pamella, 46, for allegedly unlawfully confining two pupils without food or water for several days. The incident reportedly took place after the school broke for holidays on August 9, 2025, when the director demanded that the parents clear an outstanding school fees balance of Shs 1,500,000 before releasing the children. Despite the parents’ pleas, promising to pay the balance before schools reopen, the director refused to release the pupils.

The situation escalated when the director allegedly told the parents they would have to pay an additional Shs 20,000 for each day the children remained at the school. Distressed, the parents reported the matter to the Child and Family Protection Unit (CFPU) at Nsangi, prompting the officers to intervene. However, the director continued to refuse to release the children. This led to the registration of a case of unlawful confinement.

Police officers from Nsangi promptly responded to the scene, recovered the two victims, and apprehended the director along with two teachers who reportedly acted hostile and tried to obstruct the officers. Statements are currently being recorded as part of an ongoing investigation, as authorities work to ensure justice for the victims. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, raising serious concerns about the treatment of children in schools and the enforcement of school fee policies.
