Police in Entebbe are holding a 31-year-old woman accused of torturing a young boy by pouring hot water on him. The suspect, identified as Nakimbugwe Winnie, was arrested after the shocking incident that took place on August 20, 2025, at around 2:50 PM in Nkungulutale, Kajjansi Town Council, Wakiso District.
According to reports, the victim is a 12-year-old Primary Six pupil at Sharpkids Primary School. He suffered severe burns on his chest and back after hot water was poured on him. Witnesses say the boy screamed in pain, drawing the attention of neighbors who rushed to his rescue.
The horrifying act angered residents, and a mob quickly gathered with intentions of lynching Nakimbugwe. However, the area Chairman intervened and handed her over to police officers from Nakawuka Police Station, preventing further chaos.
Police have since opened a case of child torture against Nakimbugwe Winnie. She is being detained as investigations continue. Statements have already been recorded from eyewitnesses, and officers are piecing together details of what led to the cruel attack.
