Since When Did Police Body Guards Become Bag Carriers For Ministers?

Must read

The state minister for primary education Hon Dr Joyce Moriku Kaducu is on spot after a viral picture with her male bodyguard from counter terrorism police carrying her bag raising a public concern as to whether the officer can effectively save her in case of any danger.

The onlookers misinterpreted the vital photo as mistaken role of a bodyguard to the personal assistant.

Counter Terrorism (CT) police, is part of the Uganda Police Force (UPF) and the lead law enforcement entity for investigating, disrupting, and responding to terrorist incidents, headed by the Directorate of Counter Terrorism.
Here’s a more detailed breakdown of their roles:
Investigation and Intelligence:
The CT police are responsible for gathering intelligence, investigating potential terrorist threats, and collecting evidence related to terrorist activities.
Disruption and Prevention:
They work to disrupt terrorist networks, prevent attacks, and neutralize potential threats before they materialize.
Response to Terrorist Incidents:
In the event of a terrorist attack, the CT police are the primary responders, tasked with securing the scene, rescuing victims, and apprehending perpetrators.
Training and Capacity Building:
The CT police play a crucial role in training and equipping other police officers with the skills and knowledge necessary to counter terrorism threats.
Collaboration and Coordination:
They work closely with other law enforcement agencies, intelligence agencies, and international partners to share information and coordinate efforts in the fight against terrorism.
Public Sensitization:
The CT police also engage in public awareness campaigns to educate the public on how to identify and report suspicious activities and to cooperate with law enforcement in combating terrorism.
Specific Operations:
The CT police have been deployed in specific operations, including rescuing victims from hostage situations and apprehending suspects in terrorism-related cases.

Could this be a personal character of some ministers or big officials to turn bodyguards to personal assistants?

Everyone should be treated with respect inline with his or her duty
