Security agencies have successfully recovered six-year-old Mpirwe Tumwesigye, who was allegedly kidnapped on 12th December 2025 by a shamba boy. The child, who was abducted from Kawempe Division, was safely found in Busukuma, Nansana municipality, Wakiso district, on 19th December 2025 at around 9:30 a.m. The news brought relief to the family and the entire community, who had been on edge ever since the child went missing.
Mpirwe Tumwesigye, the son of Dr. Tumwesigye Emmanuel, was reportedly taken by Muchunguzi David, who had been employed as a shamba boy by the family. On the afternoon of 12th December, Muchunguzi left with the young boy from Ddungu Zone in Kawempe Division, promising to return shortly, but he never did. This act sparked panic and confusion among family members, and a report was immediately filed at the Universal Police Post.
The kidnapping case was immediately taken up by the authorities, who launched an intensive search operation across various regions. Through Muchunguzi’s TikTok videos, security agencies were able to trace his location, which eventually led them to the hideout in Busukuma, where the child was being held.
