“There Was No Injuries Or Abraisons On The Body” Police Speaks Out On Death Of It’s Officer

Senior Police Officer Musa Walugembe, a 45-year-old Superintendent of Police, was found dead in his home in Najjanankumbi, Kampala, in the early hours of September 3, 2025. Police reported receiving information about his death at around 12:09 AM and rushed immediately to the scene. Walugembe, who lived alone, had locked himself inside the house, forcing police to break the door shutter to gain access.

Investigators recorded statements from relevant witnesses and carefully examined the scene. The body was then taken to Mulago City Mortuary for a postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Preliminary findings indicated that there were no injuries or abrasions on his body. Neighbors mentioned that Walugembe had recently complained of chest pain, which could be linked to his sudden passing. He was last seen alive on Saturday, August 30, 2025.

The Uganda Police Force has extended heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the late SP Musa Walugembe. His sudden death is a tragic loss for both the force and the community.
