“They Must Be Exposed, Ugandans Deserve To Know Them” Joel Ssenyonyi Demands Full List Of Opposition MPs Who Received  The 100 Million Cash Bonanza

Must read

Leader of the Opposition Joel Ssenyonyi is demanding answers about the Shs100 million given to Members of Parliament. He wants the people behind the money giveaway to come forward and name the MPs who took the money—especially those now denying it by signing a statement claiming they didn’t receive anything.

This issue has caused tension in Parliament, especially among opposition MPs. Reports say MPs were quietly given Shs100 million each under unclear conditions.

Some MPs have openly denied taking the money, while others have signed documents distancing themselves from the scandal. But Ssenyonyi and others believe some of them might not be telling the truth.

“There are people pretending to be innocent, yet they took the money,” Ssenyonyi said. “Let’s stop the games. Let Ugandans know who received the cash and who is lying.”

The Shs100 million saga is now a big test of honesty for politicians. Many people believe the money was a reward for MPs to support a secret or questionable budget. The problem is that some MPs are saying one thing in public, but doing something else in private.

The National Unity Platform (NUP), Uganda’s largest opposition party, has called for honesty and transparency. But there are even rumors that some NUP MPs may have taken the money too. Ssenyonyi’s message seems to be aimed at both the ruling party and some of his fellow opposition members who may not be as clean as they claim.

Experts believe Ssenyonyi’s bold move could force the truth to come out—or it could make MPs trust each other even less. Either way, his demand has created serious pressure in Parliament.

“Ugandans need to know the truth,” Ssenyonyi added. “Signing a paper is not enough. If you took the money, admit it. If you didn’t, you have nothing to fear.”

As the debate continues, one thing is certain—Joel Ssenyonyi is not afraid to take on corruption, even if it means calling out his own colleagues.
