A tragic accident this morning has left two young schoolchildren dead after a bus carrying pupils from Star Junior School in Makindye was involved in a crash. The accident happened in Zigoti Town Council, along the Mityana Road.
The children were traveling in a school bus belonging to HMK Company, with registration number UAP 829U. According to eyewitnesses, the bus was carrying more than 90 schoolchildren when the accident occurred. The exact cause of the crash is still being investigated by authorities.
The scene at Zigoti was heartbreaking, as emergency responders and Good Samaritans rushed to help the injured. Screams and cries filled the air as rescuers worked to pull children from the wreckage. Sadly, two pupils lost their lives on the spot.
