The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has released an official calendar outlining when several completed national surveys and census reports will be published. The announcement was made in a public statement issued in Kampala on Friday, March 6, 2026.
According to the statistics body, the upcoming releases are part of efforts to provide reliable data that supports planning, policy development, and informed public debate. The reports cover key areas such as health, education, poverty, employment, and aquaculture.
The first report scheduled for release will be the Uganda Malaria Indicator Survey (UMIS) Report 2025, which will be published on March 12, 2026. This report is expected to provide important insights into the country’s progress in the fight against malaria.
On March 19, 2026, UBOS will release the Orphans and Other Vulnerable Children (OVC) Census Monograph 2024 – Volume 4. The publication will highlight data concerning the welfare and living conditions of vulnerable children across the country.
A week later, on March 26, 2026, the bureau will publish the Multi-Dimensional Poverty Index (MPI) Census Monograph 2024 – Volume 5, which will provide updated statistics on poverty levels in different parts of Uganda.
In April, the bureau will release several additional reports. The Baseline Education Census (BEC) Report 2025 will be released on April 9, followed by the Labour Market Survey Report 2025 on April 16, and the National Human Resource (Manpower) Survey Report 2025 on April 23.

The final report in the schedule will be released on May 7, 2026. It will include the Uganda Harmonized Indicator Survey (UHIS) Reports, covering Wave I and II (2021–2024) and Wave III for 2025.
According to UBOS, all the reports will be uploaded on its official website on the respective release dates. The bureau emphasized that the data will help government institutions, researchers, development partners, and the public make evidence-based decisions.
The statement was issued by Chris N. Mukiza, the Executive Director and Chief Statistician of UBOS, who reaffirmed the bureau’s commitment to producing high-quality official statistics to support Uganda’s national development.
