The Ministry of Health – Republic of Uganda has announced an important national event aimed at improving the country’s healthcare system. The Uganda Pharma and Healthcare Expo & Dialogue 2026 will take place in Kampala at the UMA Show Grounds in Lugogo from 26th to 28th March 2026. This major gathering is expected to bring together leaders and experts from the pharmaceutical, medical, and healthcare sectors, both from Uganda and around the world.
The event will run under the theme “Strengthening Access, Quality, and Sustainability in Healthcare for All.” It is designed to create a strong platform where different stakeholders can meet, share ideas, and build partnerships. Government officials, healthcare providers, researchers, investors, and international partners will all have the chance to discuss ways to improve healthcare services and make quality medicines more available to everyone.
During the three-day Expo, participants will take part in panel discussions, exhibitions, and knowledge-sharing sessions. Key topics will include pharmaceutical manufacturing, medical supply systems, digital health technologies, healthcare financing, and regulatory frameworks. These discussions are expected to generate new ideas and practical solutions that can help Uganda strengthen its health system.
The Ministry has emphasized the importance of the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors in supporting national development and improving people’s lives. One of the main goals of the Expo is to encourage local production of medicines, improve regulation, and support innovation across the healthcare industry. By doing so, Uganda hopes to reduce dependence on imports and ensure a steady supply of safe and affordable medical products.
Another exciting part of the event will be the exhibition of new technologies, medicines, and medical equipment. Companies and organizations will showcase their latest innovations, giving visitors a chance to see modern healthcare solutions that can improve service delivery and expand access to care across the country.
The Ministry is calling on healthcare professionals, private sector players, academic institutions, development agencies, and the general public to take part in this important event. It believes that everyone has a role to play in building a stronger, more resilient healthcare system for Uganda.
More details about the program, speakers, and registration will be shared soon, but the message is already clear: Uganda is taking bold steps toward a healthier future.
