The Uganda Police Force has partnered with the Uganda Management Institute (UMI) to launch a 28-day leadership and management course for senior officers at the Senior Command and Staff College in Bwebajja.
This comprehensive course will cover five key areas that include: Equipping officers with the skills to effectively lead and manage institutions within the Uganda Police Force, Focusing on strategies to enhance staff performance, productivity, and overall efficiency, Training officers on entrepreneurial skills and effective resource management to optimize policing operations and
Enhancing communication skills and strategies for effective policing and community engagement, and teaching officers how to monitor and evaluate policing activities to ensure accountability and improvement.
The course was officially launched by AIGP Kafeero Moses,Director of Human Resource Development, who emphasized the importance of leadership and management in daily policing activities.
Dr. S. Kasozi Mulindwa, Director of Programs and Students’ Affairs at UMI, encouraged officers to actively participate and apply the knowledge gained to improve policing in their respective jurisdictions.
