The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) an independent institution responsible for conducting National Housing and Population Census in Uganda every after 10 years, has assured the Buganda Kingdom that it has no any intension of removing Buganda from the Map of Uganda.
UBOS Deputy ED Dr Ssenono Fred who represented the ED Dr Chris Mukiza while meeting a delegation of Buganda Kingdom at Bulange mengo led by Hon Israel Kazibwe the Minister in charge of Mobilisation who also doubles as the Spokesperson say UBOS during Census worked together with Buganda Kingdom and the whole Buganda was counted.
“We built a strong relationship with Buganda and those saying that we removed Buganda from the Map of Uganda want to tarnish our good relationship with Buganda,” Said Ssenono.
He added that all the information that is being circulated on social media are false. ” We have come here with our evidence to show the world that Buganda is on the Map of Uganda. We present our Map which we captured during Census,” Says UBOS Boss adding that the Kababa should remain firm that Buganda is on the Map.
He added during the census Buganda had the highest number of population which was over 11 million people. “To assure the world UBOS can’t be separated from Buganda, we shall participate in Kabaka run scheduled for next week and we have bought kits worth Shs5m cash,” Reveals Ssenono.

He added that the ED himself will participate in 15km run and all UBOS staff will have to participate.
Israel Kazibwe who represented Katikiro Hon Charles Peter Mayiga says that Buganda is now firm and safe.

“Since UBOS has come here, and explain what has been running on social media, we are now sure that Buganda is still on the Map,” he said. He urged all Buganda people leaving abroad to disregard what has been trending on social media that Buganda was removed from the Map of Uganda.
