793 Road Traffic Offenders Arrested in Week-Long Crackdown on Safety Violations

A total of 793 offenders were apprehended over the past week for violating various road traffic rules and regulations, as part of ongoing efforts to promote safer roads and ensure compliance with traffic laws. The offenders were found guilty of a range of offenses, highlighting the need for continued vigilance in enforcing traffic regulations.

Among the offenses, 375 individuals were caught driving without a valid motor vehicle certificate (DMC), while 148 drivers and riders were operating vehicles without licenses. Additionally, 33 offenders were penalized for illegal vehicle modifications, and 95 riders were caught riding without helmets—emphasizing the importance of safety on the roads.

Other violations included 7 abandoned vehicles, 26 cases of dangerous loading, 5 instances of drink driving, 1 driver operating without a badge, 22 pillion riders breaching safety regulations, and 76 offenders violating traffic direction. Authorities also apprehended 5 individuals for route chart violations.

These enforcement actions are part of a broader strategy to enhance road safety, reduce accidents, and promote responsible driving. Authorities have committed to continuing these efforts to ensure safer roads for all.
