Police in Kajjansi have arrested two suspects in connection with an aggravated robbery that took place in Sekiwunga Cell, Kitende Ward, Kajjansi Town Council in Wakiso District.

The robbery happened on August 21, 2026, when armed men reportedly attacked occupants at a home using pangas before stealing several items. Following investigations, police managed to trace and arrest two people suspected to have been involved in the incident.

The first suspect, identified as Kakoza Derrick, a motorcycle rider, was arrested on August 22, 2026. Police said a search at his home led to the recovery of some of the property believed to have been stolen during the robbery.

Investigations continued, leading to the arrest of the second suspect, Mukalasi John Bosco, also known as Ali Junior, on August 25, 2026.

According to police, Mukalasi had been released from Kigo Prison about a month earlier, where he had been serving a sentence after being arrested by Kira Police in 2023 in connection with another aggravated robbery case.

The two suspects are currently being held at Natete Police Station and will later be transferred to Kajjansi Police Division to complete investigations before being taken to court.

Police said investigations into the robbery are still ongoing as detectives work to establish more details and identify any other individuals who may have been involved.

ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy Public Relations Officer for Kampala Metropolitan Police, assured the public that police remain committed to fighting violent crimes and ensuring that those responsible face justice.
