The Electoral Commission in preparation for the 2025-2026 Elections, and in accordance with Section 26 of the Electoral Commission Act (Cap 176), appointed 25th April–15th May 2025 as the period for the Voters Register Display.
The exercise that is running gives a chance for every Ugandan to determine whether he or she is eligible to vote on polling day.
The Voter Register Display display officers are physically stationed at each respective polling station throughout the entire display period on a daily basis from 8:00am to 6:00pm.
This is to enable voters to conveniently locate their polling station.
It also helps the voter to verify their photos and and report errors if found on the register.
The voters are mandated to identify those that died and residents relocated to other areas such that they are removed from the register.
The exercise is ending on May 15, 2025.
