Mwesige Albert Kalisya, better known as TMK, has officially declared his candidacy for the Bwamba County Member of Parliament seat for the 2026–2031 term. Running as an independent, his campaign is already attracting widespread attention and enthusiasm throughout the district.
TMK is a well-known figure in Bwamba County. His name, Tadeo Mukosi Kalisya, honors his late father and reflects his deep respect for family values and tradition. Known for his calm demeanor and humility, TMK is closely connected to the grassroots people of the region.
His campaign slogan, “Make Bwamba Great Again,” has begun to inspire hope among voters, encouraging them to believe in genuine change. He also embraces the Rwamba phrase “Muntu Wahansi Muntu Wabantu,” meaning “A person from the grassroots, a person for the people,” highlighting his commitment to being a true representative of ordinary citizens.
TMK stands out thanks to his strong educational background. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a Master’s degree in Physical Planning from Makerere University. This training gives him the expertise to help improve roads, towns, and services across Bwamba County.
In addition to his education, TMK is a celebrated musician with over 25 years in the industry. He has released six albums in the Rwamba language, featuring popular songs such as Mwise Tubine, Bwamba, Ntunabugha, and Nesigiyewe.
