A shocking incident of murder by shooting has been reported in Kiboga District, leaving the community in disbelief. The tragedy occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning, October 2, 2025, at around 1:00 am, when two security guards stationed at Brac Bank in Bamusuuta, Kiboga Town Council, turned on each other during duty.
The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Engoromoit Moses, a security guard working with Ultimate Security. According to preliminary police findings, Engoromoit and his colleague, Karuhanga Moses, who were both deployed at the bank, got into a heated quarrel that ended in bloodshed. In a shocking turn of events, Karuhanga allegedly fired a bullet at Engoromoit’s head, killing him instantly.
Authorities reveal that the two were armed with different weapons. While Engoromoit only had a baton, Karuhanga was carrying a gun. After pulling the trigger, Karuhanga is said to have immediately informed their supervisor about the shooting, but later abandoned the gun at the crime scene and fled. When the supervisor arrived, he found the lifeless body of Engoromoit lying in a pool of blood.
Police in Kiboga, led by the territorial team, swiftly responded to the incident. The scene of crime was examined and documented, and statements were recorded from key witnesses. A case of murder by shooting has since been opened, with efforts underway to track down the suspect who is currently on the run.
SP Kawala Racheal, the Wamala Region Police spokesperson, confirmed the incident, noting that investigations are ongoing. She assured the public that security agencies are determined to ensure the suspect is arrested and brought to justice.
