Must read

St. Mary’s College Mayenze has officially welcomed His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Uganda and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) presidential candidate, to the Bugisu Sub-Region, with special acknowledgment to Manafwa District Local Government during his ongoing campaign tour.

The school community — including the Board of Governors, Board of Directors, Parents and Teachers Association, Prefectorial Body, and all students — collectively expressed their gratitude to the President and the NRM government for their visionary leadership and transformative initiatives that continue to drive national development.

As beneficiaries of the Universal Secondary Education (USE) program, St. Mary’s College Mayenze recognizes that the President’s policies have enabled the establishment of modern infrastructure, elevating the school to standards comparable to higher education institutions in both quality and facilities.

The school also applauds the government’s economic empowerment initiatives, such as the Parish Development Model (PDM), Emyooga, Youth Livelihood Fund, and Grow for Women Entrepreneurship, which have strengthened household incomes, promoted self-reliance, and improved livelihoods across Uganda.

Furthermore, the institution commends the government’s investments in infrastructure, including roads, bridges, electricity expansion, and industrial parks, which have generated employment opportunities and boosted regional growth. The creation of skilling hubs has provided young Ugandans with practical knowledge, fostering entrepreneurship and innovation.

St. Mary’s College Mayenze also values programs like Operation Wealth Creation (OWC), Universal Primary Education (UPE), and salary enhancements for public servants, which continue to enhance education, productivity, and the well-being of Ugandans nationwide.

Although the President’s schedule will not include special events or entertainment, the school community extends a heartfelt message of welcome and solidarity, reaffirming support for the President’s and the NRM’s commitment to peace, stability, and socio-economic progress.

The President is slated to visit Bulambuli and Manafwa on 6th November 2025, Bududa and Namisindwa on 8th November, and Mbale District and City on 10th November as part of his campaign itinerary.

St. Mary’s College Mayenze reiterates its loyalty and support to the President and the NRM, urging residents of the Bugisu Sub-Region to unite behind the leadership that has delivered development, peace, and prosperity to Uganda.
