Police at Lungujja Police Station are investigating a shocking double murder by stabbing that occurred on 07 February 2026 at Mbubi Zone, Lungujja Parish.
The deceased have been identified as Asasira Shivani, aged 30, the Manager of Dave Hotel and Suites, and Musinguzi Lawrence, approximately 27 years old, a security guard (askari) at the same hotel.
Preliminary findings indicate that at about 10:00 a.m., the hotel owner received a call from the manager, Asasira Shivani, reporting that she was looking for the security guard but could not locate him and that his phones were switched off. At around 11:30 a.m., the owner tried to call back the manager, but her phone was also not being answered.
Concerned by the situation, the owner went to the hotel at about 3:00 p.m., where he made the grim discovery that both the manager and the security guard had been murdered by unknown assailants. It was also established that a white Toyota Harrier, registration number UBH 633M, had been stolen from the premises.
The two bodies were found in separate rooms, each bearing stab wounds around the neck area. The bodies were later conveyed to Mulago Hospital Mortuary pending post-mortem examinations.
Police say investigations are ongoing, and efforts are underway to identify and arrest the suspects involved in the crime.
