Must read

In a show of growing momentum, NRM delegates from Kakumiro, Kibaale, Kagadi, Hoima, and Kibuku districts have thrown their weight behind Mr. Calvin Echodu’s bid for the position of NRM Vice Chairperson for Eastern Uganda. Their endorsement reflects strong confidence in his leadership, vision, and longstanding dedication to the party.

While addressing delegates at a series of meetings held at Kakumiro NRM House, Star Light Hotel, and URDT Reflection Center, Mr. Echodu outlined his agenda for transformation and inclusive leadership. He emphasized his commitment to working closely with senior NRM officials to enhance service delivery, particularly in job creation, education, and community empowerment.

At Hoima Resort Hotel, where he met delegates from Hoima City, Hoima District, and Kikuube District, Mr. Echodu further underscored his pledge to prioritize education for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. He also vowed to leverage his connections with Ugandan ambassadors to unlock international opportunities, enabling more Ugandans to benefit from global programs and support networks.

A key pillar of Mr. Echodu’s campaign is unity. He passionately called on NRM members to stand above tribal, religious, and regional divisions, reminding them that the strength of the party lies in its ability to bring people together for a shared national purpose. He cautioned against the use of propaganda and identity-based politics, urging delegates to choose capable and proven leaders.

With years of humanitarian and philanthropic work in the Teso and Karamoja regions, Mr. Echodu brings a wealth of experience in grassroots mobilization and social development. He reaffirmed his commitment to NRM values and pledged to continue uplifting communities through inclusive, transformative leadership.

Across all meetings, his message remained firm and inspiring:
“Let us choose leaders who care, who serve, and who unite us. Together, we can build a stronger NRM and a better Uganda.”
