NRM delegates from the districts of Kakumiro, Kibaale, Kagadi, Hoima, and Kibuku have declared their support for Mr. Calvin Echodu in his bid for the position of NRM Vice Chairperson for Eastern Uganda. The endorsements mark a major boost to his campaign, signaling widespread confidence in his leadership and vision.
During meetings held at Kakumiro NRM House, Star Light Hotel, and URDT Reflection Center, Mr. Echodu shared his priorities: improved service delivery, youth and women empowerment, education access, and job creation. He emphasized the importance of collaboration with party structures to ensure development reaches every corner of the region.
While addressing delegates from Hoima City, Hoima District, and Kikuube at Hoima Resort Hotel, Mr. Echodu spoke passionately about helping children from low-income families access quality education. He also pledged to use his international connections to create pathways for Ugandans to benefit from global opportunities through Uganda’s diplomatic missions.
A consistent theme throughout his engagements is unity. Mr. Echodu urged NRM members to put aside divisions based on tribe, religion, or region, and instead focus on shared goals that uplift communities. He warned against propaganda and divisive politics, encouraging delegates to support leaders with integrity and a history of service.
With a proven record of humanitarian and development work in the Teso and Karamoja regions, Mr. Echodu brings deep grassroots experience to his campaign. He pledged to continue advancing NRM values while promoting inclusive, people-centered leadership.
His message to the party and the country is clear:
“Let’s choose leaders who care, who serve, and who unite us. Together, we can build a stronger NRM and a better Uganda.”
