CDF Gen Muhoozi, Singer Bebe Cool Fall Out Over Rwabogo Coffee Money

Must read

The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has reportedly fallen out with music legend Moses Sali, popularly known as Bebe Cool, over money related to the Rwabogo coffee initiative, Spyreports has learnt.

According to insiders from both camps, the fallout began after Bebe Cool was allegedly blocked from accessing Gen Muhoozi by individuals such as Minister Balaam Barugahare. “Bebe Cool used to access Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba without passing through anyone. They even used to communicate directly on a daily basis,” revealed a source from the Gamel group.

The source added that the relationship between the two began to deteriorate gradually, to the point where Gen Muhoozi stopped picking Bebe Cool’s calls. “Bebe Cool made an appointment to meet Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba but could not go through,” said another insider, adding that Bebe Cool even resorted to pleading with Balaam Barugahare to help him reach the General, but all efforts were in vain.

Eventually, Bebe Cool is said to have moved on and started a new chapter without Gen Muhoozi. The final blow came when Gen Muhoozi criticized the Coffee Marathon organized by Rwabogo via a post on X (formerly Twitter). In his post, Gen Muhoozi wrote;

“Beware of the Serbian coffee scammers in action! This so-called coffee marathon is a complete waste of taxpayer funds, organized for no good reason. They have even gone so far as to hire foreign musicians for this event. What do foreign performers have to do with our local coffee growers? I urge all Ugandans to steer clear of these scammers. They are not just misguided, they are a threat to our economy!”

Shortly after this post, Bebe Cool, who had been hired by Rwabogo Muhoozi’s known rival to perform at the marathon scheduled for Saturday, posted on his social media:
“Just touched down in Ntungamo with the Silent Majority crew for the coffee marathon! Brewing unity, strength, and purpose with the beats and rhythm of Break the Chain.”

Bebe Cool’s tweet went viral and triggered a sharp response from Gen Muhoozi. The CDF fired back:
“Bwana Moses Sali, you have betrayed the lion for the sake of money. It’s shocking to see you engage in the fraudulent activities that every Ugandan is aware of. Keep in mind that the time for thorough audits across all institutions is approaching fast!”
