Orungo county member of parliament hopeful Teddy Anyuk Osire who declared here candidacy for the seat in February 2025 has vowed to unseat the former army commander Gen Jeje Odongo.
Teddy Anyuk has urged both local and national leaders to prioritize the long-overdue development of Amuria District adding that the time for waiting is over and the time for action is now.
“Amuria has been left behind for too long, From crumbling infrastructure and impassable roads to inadequate health services and poor access to education, the district’s challenges are many — and they are no longer acceptable”.She noted
Osires paints a vivid picture of a region rich in potential but starved of opportunity. She calls on decision-makers to invest in tangible development, arguing that the people of Amuria deserve the same attention and resources as other parts of the country.
“This is not just about roads and buildings,” she stresses. “It’s about dignity. It’s about giving people hope and the means to build better lives.”
