In a country where many politicians speak more than they act, Hon. Florence Nambozo Wamala Mayoga has become a different kind of leader one who works quietly, honestly, and with real results. As Uganda prepares for another election season, the people of Sironko and Karamoja are being called to choose a leader who truly cares. That leader is Florence Mayoga.
She knows the pain of poverty because she has lived it. She understands the struggles of education, health care, and clean water, because she grew up in Sironko walking the same dusty paths, studying in simple schools, and helping her family in the gardens. This is not a leader who was born in comfort. She rose from humble beginnings and never forgot where she came from.
One of the biggest reasons people should vote for her again is her work in education. She has supported hundreds of students especially young girls to stay in school. Many families in Sironko can tell stories of how her efforts helped their children get school fees, books, or even uniforms. In areas where early marriage and school dropout are common, Florence Mayoga has been a light of hope.
Her work doesn’t stop in Sironko. As State Minister for Karamoja Affairs, she has traveled across Karamoja one of Uganda’s most challenging regions. She listens to the people, works with local leaders, and pushes for real programs that improve food security, peace, and development. Her leadership is not about words it is about action.
What makes her even more admirable is that she continues to grow. Even while serving in government, she is studying and recently completed a Master’s degree. She is now working toward a PhD. This shows that she takes leadership seriously and wants to keep improving so she can serve better.
In these tough political times, voters should ask themselves: Do we want leaders who talk? Or leaders who act? Florence Nambozo Wamala Mayoga is a woman of action. She has proven that over and over again in Sironko, in Karamoja, and in Parliament.
If the people of Sironko and Bugisu want continued development, more school support, improved services, and honest leadership they should trust the one who has already shown them the way.
