The Biara Emmanuel Wepukhulu Foundation is making a big difference in Bulambuli by starting many helpful projects for the community. One of their key projects is bringing piped water to the people living in Nalondo.
The foundation is also helping more than 150 women’s groups in the district by giving them tomato and onion seeds, spray pumps, and fertilizers. This support in farming is expected to help these women grow more food and earn more money.
Besides farming, the foundation is helping young people develop their talents. It has started a program to identify and support young soccer players in the area. This gives them a chance to improve their skills and maybe even start careers in sports.
The foundation also cares about education. Biara Emmanuel Wepukhulu is offering full bursaries to top-performing students in the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE). These students can now attend good schools like Bugisu High School and St. Peters Claver. This is encouraging other students to study hard and aim for high results.
