The police in Kagadi District are hunting for a woman identified as Rosemary Tuhaise, a resident of Kyeicumu village, Kyenzige sub-county, over the murder of her husband.
The deceased is identified as Charles Lwanga, 57, a mathematics teacher at Kyeicumu Primary School.
It’s said that, The couple on Sunday night developed a misunderstanding for unknown reasons, and in the process, Tuhaise picked up a hand hoe and struck Lwanga severely on the head. Lwanga sounded an alarm that attracted the neighbors.
Patrick Twesige, the area LCI Chairperson, explains that although residents mobilized to transport Lwanga to Kagadi hospital, he died before arriving at the health facility. He says that Tuhaise immediately fled to an unknown destination.
Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson, noted that efforts are underway to have the suspect apprehended
