“I Urge Those Who Beat Full Figure to Surrender to Police Immediately,” Balaam Barugahara Says

Must read

Minister Balaam Barugahara has strongly condemned the brutal assault on presidential advisor Jennifer Nakangubi, popularly known as Full Figure. In a statement shared on his media platforms, Balaam called the attack unacceptable and demanded that the perpetrators turn themselves in to police without delay.

A close ally of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Balaam began by thanking the doctors working tirelessly to treat Full Figure, who sustained serious injuries during the attack. He described the incident as “unfortunate” and said such acts have no place in a country that values law and order.

“To those who participated in the unfortunate incident of beating and robbing her, I strongly urge you to surrender to the CPS and record a statement today. We cannot sit back and watch cruelty and lawlessness prevail in our nation,” Balaam stated firmly.

The minister emphasized that violence should never be used to resolve disputes. He reminded Ugandans that justice can only be achieved through legal and peaceful means, warning that acts of brutality damage the country’s image and must be condemned by all.

Balaam also addressed Full Figure directly, urging her to avoid vulgar and abusive language, which has sometimes caused public backlash. “We should strive to be humble and respectful toward one another at all times. Vulgar language must be condemned in all circumstances,” he said.

In a rare gesture, the minister apologized on her behalf to anyone who may have been hurt by her past statements. “I wish to extend apologies on behalf of Madam Jennifer Figure to all individuals who may have been abused or harassed through her communication previously,” he added.

His statement has drawn widespread attention, with many Ugandans praising his call for peace, while others see it as a reminder for Full Figure to moderate her language. As investigations continue, the public now watches to see whether the attackers will heed Balaam’s advice and surrender to police.
