“It’s Only In Museveni’s Hands That Uganda Is Safer But We Shall Support Muhoozi If He Becomes The Next Saver Of This Country” Says Gen Rwashande

Must read

Retired Brigadier General Emmanuel Rwashande has recently made headlines in Uganda by expressing his support for General Muhoozi Kainerugaba as a future leader of the country. Speaking openly about the ongoing conversations around President Yoweri Museveni’s leadership and succession, Rwashande acknowledged Museveni’s important role in keeping Uganda safe but also highlighted Muhoozi’s growing influence and capability, especially in national security.

Rwashande explained that Uganda is currently safer with Museveni at the helm, but he believes that when the time comes for a new leader, Muhoozi is well-prepared to take on that responsibility. According to the retired general, Muhoozi is already playing a vital role in handling security issues and has proven himself capable of leading effectively. He emphasized that the leadership system will adapt naturally when the change happens.

One area where Rwashande praised Muhoozi was his efforts to tackle corruption in the military. He noted that corruption has been a major problem in the past, but since Muhoozi became the Chief of Defense Forces, there has been a significant improvement. Rwashande said, “He has silenced corruption,” showing how Muhoozi’s leadership is making a real difference.

Rwashande also pointed out Muhoozi’s success in completing important projects like the long-delayed Mbuya hospital. This project had faced many obstacles over the years, but under Muhoozi’s guidance, it was finally finished. Rwashande called this an example of how Muhoozi is achieving what others couldn’t, bringing hope for further progress in the country.

While Rwashande believes Muhoozi has the potential to become Uganda’s next leader, he also stressed that for now, President Museveni remains the best person to protect the nation. He said there is no one else currently who can keep Uganda as safe and stable as Museveni has done.

The retired general’s public support for Muhoozi sends a strong message about the future of Uganda’s leadership. It reflects growing confidence in Muhoozi’s ability to carry forward the country’s security and development. As the nation watches closely, the question of who will lead Uganda after Museveni remains a hot topic, with Muhoozi seen by many as the most likely successor.

Rwashande’s remarks show that the military supports Muhoozi’s leadership, and many Ugandans may soon face a choice to back him if he steps forward as the next president. For now, though, the focus remains on Museveni’s continued leadership and the stability he provides.
