“Kabobi Is A Dog, I Have Stopped Responding To Him” Gen. Muhoozi Fires Back In Shocking Tweet

Must read

Uganda’s political scene was shaken once again after a fiery tweet from Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba targeted opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi, famously known as Bobi Wine. In a post that sparked immediate online debate, Muhoozi used strong and controversial language, referring to Bobi Wine as a “dog” and saying he is not worthy of a response.

“Bobi Wine nembwa… As a Muchwezi, I’m forbidden from responding to dogs. I hereby give that work to my juniors. I will be watching them,” Muhoozi wrote on Twitter.

The statement shocked many Ugandans due to its direct insult and the cultural and political weight behind it. Referring to someone as a dog is considered extremely disrespectful in Ugandan society. Muhoozi’s reference to being a “Muchwezi” — a noble lineage tied to ancient ruling clans — seemed to suggest that he views himself as above responding to Bobi Wine personally. Instead, he said he would delegate the task of dealing with the opposition figure to his junior supporters or followers.

This attack comes at a time when political tensions between the ruling establishment and the opposition continue to rise. Bobi Wine, the leader of the National Unity Platform (NUP), remains one of the strongest voices challenging the status quo and advocating for change, especially among the youth.

Reactions to Muhoozi’s tweet have been mixed. Supporters of the General praised his confidence and loyalty to President Museveni’s government, while critics accused him of arrogance and disrespect. Many also warned that such language could deepen political divisions and distract from the real issues facing ordinary Ugandans.

Some users on social media asked whether such statements from a military general were appropriate, especially at a time when the country needs peace and unity. Others pointed out that this kind of talk fuels political drama, but offers little in terms of leadership.

As the tweet continues to trend online, it’s clear that Muhoozi’s comments will remain a talking point in Ugandan politics for days to come. Whether it was a calculated political move or a moment of raw emotion, the General’s choice of words has certainly turned heads and raised the heat in Uganda’s already tense political arena.
