Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has announced a major leadership change in the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), appointing Hon. Fadil Twalla as the new General Secretary of the movement. This decision marks a new phase for the organisation as it continues to shape its internal leadership and strengthen its operations.
According to the statement shared on X, Hon. Twalla replaces Daudi Kabanda, who has been serving in the position for the past three years. Gen Muhoozi expressed appreciation for Kabanda’s work, praising him for his dedication and strong performance during his tenure. He noted that Kabanda had set a high standard for the role and contributed significantly to the growth of the league.
The Patriotic League of Uganda, a political and civic movement associated with Gen Muhoozi, continues to expand its structure and influence. The appointment of Hon. Fadil Twalla is seen as part of efforts to strengthen leadership and improve coordination within the organisation. It also reflects a smooth transition process within the league’s top positions.

Hon. Daudi Kabanda leaves the position after three years of service, during which he played a key role in building the foundation of the General Secretary’s office. His departure is being acknowledged with appreciation, even as the organisation moves into a new leadership phase.
