The recently concluded NRM party primaries in Agule County have left many residents angry and disappointed due to serious cheating and irregularities. One of the key candidates, Hon. Ogwari Polycarp, has come out to strongly reject the results, saying the election was neither free nor fair.
According to some voters, many polling stations recorded voter numbers that were far higher than the number of registered voters. For example, one polling station that had only 280 registered voters shockingly recorded over 1,000 people voting. This clear case of ballot stuffing has raised serious questions about the credibility of the entire election process.
Even worse, it was reported that children, students, and people who are not even registered voters were allowed to vote. These illegal actions completely go against the NRM party’s rules and the basic principles of democracy.
Many residents have also expressed concern, saying that the election was taken over by people who were only interested in forcing their candidate through dishonesty. Instead of letting the people of Agule freely choose their leader, the process was hijacked and controlled in a way that silenced the will of the voters.
Hon. Ogwari Polycarp, who was a strong candidate with a clear plan to restore unity and development in Agule County, was unfairly denied victory due to this open cheating. He has called on the party leadership and the Electoral Commission to investigate these irregularities and ensure that the truth comes out.
The people of Agule County deserve fair representation. They deserve a transparent election where their votes count. What happened in the NRM primaries is a clear betrayal of trust, and if not corrected, it will continue to destroy the integrity of the party and the hopes of honest leaders who want to serve the community.
