In the upcoming 2026 elections, the people of Makindye-Sabagabo have a strong and trusted leader to support — Hon Joseph Mukasa. He is not just another candidate seeking political power. He is a man who has served his community faithfully for over 20 years. His leadership is based on honesty, action, and a deep love for the people.
Hon Joseph Mukasa understands the real challenges facing Makindye-Sabagabo. He has seen the poor roads, the blocked drainage systems, and the mothers who walk long distances to health centers without medicine. He knows the frustration of youth with skills but no job opportunities. These are not stories he reads about — they are problems he has faced alongside the people, and he has been working to solve them.
Through his organization, HELP Uganda, Mukasa has helped thousands of young people and women learn skills like tailoring, baking, hairdressing, and business management. These programs have helped many families escape poverty and find hope. He has worked with respected international partners like USAID, CDC, and the World Bank to bring real development and impact to his community.
Even after losing the 2011–2016 parliamentary race, Hon Mukasa did not abandon the people. Instead, he continued his service through charity, community work, and church programs. He remained present, listening to the needs of the people and finding ways to support them without any political title.
As he returns to the race for Member of Parliament in 2026 under the National Unity Platform (NUP), his message is clear: “People First, Service, Equity, and Transformation.” These are not just campaign words — they reflect his daily work and values. Hon Mukasa promises to push for better public services, improved roads, clean and safe neighborhoods, and more support for youth and women. He plans to hold regular town hall meetings so that leaders stay in touch with the people they serve.
Most importantly, Joseph Mukasa is a servant leader. He is accessible, transparent, and against corruption. He believes in listening before acting and in giving people a voice in the decisions that affect their lives. His goal is not just to win a seat in Parliament, but to bring dignity and opportunity to every person in Makindye-Sabagabo.
Hon Joseph Mukasa is the right choice because he has proven himself over the years. He has served with no spotlight, given with no demands, and stayed when others walked away. The people of Makindye-Sabagabo deserve a leader like him — one who stands for truth, fairness, and lasting change.
