Police are investigating the deaths of a couple found dead in their home in Nabingola Town Council, Mubende District, in what appears to be a case of domestic violence. Tumusiime Ronald, 37, a teacher, and Kamukama Justine, 40, a businesswoman, both residents of Luwesama Cell, were discovered yesterday evening, 20 April 2026, by a concerned neighbor.
Senabulya Elvis, a neighbor, reported hearing the couple’s two-year-old child crying from the bedroom. When he approached the locked house, he looked through the window and was shocked to see the couple lying in a pool of blood. He immediately informed local leaders, who contacted Nabingola Police. The police were later joined by the Mubende homicide team, who broke into the house to begin their investigation.
Inside the house, authorities found clear signs of a physical struggle, including broken household items. Both victims suffered deep cut wounds. Witnesses said the couple had been heard quarreling on the evening of 19 April 2026, one day before their bodies were discovered. The deceased were taken to Mubende Hospital for postmortem examinations.
Police and local authorities condemned all forms of domestic violence and urged anyone facing abuse in their homes to report it immediately. This tragic incident underscores the importance of timely intervention in domestic disputes to prevent fatal outcomes.
