The baby, son of 25-year-old Namulindwa Patience from Nateete, Lubaga Division in Kampala, was taken on April 23, 2026, under the guise of a simple favor. According to reports, at around 2:00 PM, the mother’s close friend, who had known her for five months, asked to take the baby to buy yogurt, a request she had made in the past. However, this time, the woman did not return with the child.
The disappearance has left the family devastated and struggling to understand how someone so trusted could betray them. The suspect’s actions have left many in the community shocked, as she had been a friend of the family for months, leading to the unfortunate conclusion that trust can sometimes be easily exploited.
After receiving the report, the Nateete Police Division swiftly acted by launching an investigation into the matter.
