Police at Katwe have on 27th/04/2026 at 0900 hrs successfully thwarted an aggravated robbery attempt at Nesta Petrol Station, located along Salaama Road in Salaama Parish, Makindye Division, Kampala District. The foiled robbery was the result of swift action taken by the police following intelligence gathered the previous day.
On 26th April 2026, authorities received reliable information about a planned robbery at the petrol station. Acting on this tip-off, a specialized task team from the Katwe Police Division was deployed to the scene. Their quick response led to the successful interception of the criminals, resulting in the arrest of three suspects and the recovery of four pangas (large machetes), which were to be used in the robbery.
