Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has said on Twitter that Kampala Road will be expanded using government money and that the work will be done by the Uganda People’s Defence Forces engineers.
He stated that the project will rely on internal funding and not external contractors. According to him, the plan is to use state resources to carry out the road expansion.
Muhoozi also said the money to be used is what he described as funds “the Turks have been stealing,” a statement that has caused debate and confusion among social media users.
