The executive Director of Uganda Bureau Of Statistics Dr Chris Mukiza is once again Avery proud man after scooping peace beating several top government officials, Spyreports has learnt.
The award is always given to government officials who have maintained peace and stability. It was handed over to him by Energy Minister Hon Ruth Nakabirwa at hotel African.
During his award acceptance speech, the Country’s Chief Statistician says he was very happy to have scooped the peace award and promised to always be torrerant to African peace. He adds that statistics Forster a way for social, Economic transformation leading to peace and security.
The UBOS Boss also got the opportunity to clarify on contradictory map that is circulating on social media removing Buganda from Map of Uganda. “The map that is circulating was captured in 2018 and by then UBOS had not conducted National Population and Housing Census,” he says.
He added that Buganda is prominent on the Map of Uganda.
“During Census we mentioned all regions in Uganda and Buganda was prominent,” he says adding that such fake information is always circulated by youth who are not in education, employment and training. “4/10 youth in Uganda are idle and have a lot of time to do such things,” says.
Recently the Katikiro of Buganda Kingdom Charles Peter Mayiga crystalized those people who said Buganda was removed from Map of Uganda.
Other top government officials who scooped peace awards alongside Dr Mukiza included IGG Hon Betty Kamya, Minister of health incharge of Primary health Care Hon Margret Muhanga, UNEB boss Don odongo, PS Ministry of Education Dr Rwankole Turyagyenda, Dr Robert Mukiza ED Uganda Investment Authority, Stuart Nyiranguha ED National Forestry among others.
