Hundreds Of Passengers Stranded On Roads As Police Begin 100 Days Operation To Remove DMCs PSV Vehicles On The Road

Hundreds of Passengers in Kampala and surrounding areas have been thrown in total panic and shock after police revealed that it has started 100 days Operation to remove all Public Passenger Vehicles (PSV) which are in Degenrous Mechanical Conditions from the roads, Spyreports has learnt.


While addressing the Media at Police headquarters in Naguru today,Traffic Spokesperson Michael Kananura says a resolution was made to have all DMCs Vehicles off the road. “DMCs Vehicles are the major causes of road accident where many lives have been lost,” he says . He added the agreement was reached out to have all of them out the road.

“The Minister announced 100 days Operation and we have started implementing it,” He revealed. He further says some taxi drivers have hidden the cars but operation will last for 100 days. “I call upon all taxi drivers of DMCs to bring them for inspection than hiding them,” He says. He also calls upon the passengers not to board vehicles in DMC shape.He says in the last operations over 300 drivers who were driving DMCs were arrested.
