A high-profile pass-out ceremony has taken place today at the Police Senior Command and Staff College in Bwebajja, drawing several top security officials from across the country. Among those in attendance were the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Abas Byakagaba, and the Commissioner General of Prisons, Mr. Johnson Byabashijja. Their presence highlights the importance of the event in Uganda’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its internal security leadership.
The ceremony celebrated the graduation of 41 senior police officers who have completed an intensive one-year course focused on security, peacekeeping, and conflict resolution. The course aimed at sharpening the skills of high-ranking officers and preparing them to handle complex security challenges both within Uganda and beyond.
The event is expected to be presided over by Gen David Muhoozi, the Minister of State for Internal Affairs, adding even more weight to the occasion. His attendance signals strong government support for continued professional development within the police force.
