Police Nab Four Suspects in Naguru Robbery Spree

Police at Jinja Road Division have made a major breakthrough in the recent string of robberies in Naguru and surrounding areas. On 13th February 2026, at around 1:30 a.m., a robbery incident involving a resident named Igelet was reported at Naguru Kasenke II. This case led police to uncover a network of suspects connected to multiple crimes in the area.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the four arrested suspects have been involved in both simple and aggravated robberies. They reportedly used pavers and other blunt objects to attack pedestrians, mainly during early morning and late evening hours, creating fear in the community.

The suspects have been identified as Akbar Ashraf, a resident of Binyonyi Zone, Naguru Parish II, Nakawa Division, Kampala District, alongside Wachini Junior, Oketch Robert, and Ogolo George. All four are currently in police custody and will be charged and arraigned in court once investigations are complete.

Police emphasized that this arrest marks a significant step in their ongoing efforts to curb criminal activity and protect residents. Authorities have called on the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior to help ensure the safety of their neighborhoods.
