Police investigating the murder of Ms. Pamela Twebaze, the Dean of Students at Uganda Christian University, have summoned her former husband and a senior police officer to record statements as inquiries intensify.According to investigators, phone tracking analysis revealed frequent communication between the former husband and the unnamed senior officer.
The same officer was also reportedly in regular contact with the deceased prior to her death. These findings prompted authorities to call in the two individuals to assist with ongoing investigations.Sources indicate that the prime suspect, however, denies knowing either the police officer or the former husband, identified as Alex.Ms. Twebaze was killed at her home in Gwafu, Goma, Seeta Ward, Mukono District, on February 11 following what authorities believe was a nighttime intrusion.
Police spokesperson Racheal Kawala confirmed that a Joint Security Task Team arrested the main suspect, Taewaiko Dak Hussein, on February 14, 2026, at a hideout in Budaka District. He has since been arraigned in court.Ms. Twebaze is survived by her two sons, aged 8 and 10. She had recently finalized her divorce and was reportedly preparing for a wedding later this year.
