Two suspects, Kalema Samuel and Mwima Asumani, have been arrested by police in CPS Kampala for allegedly robbing Justin Katungo, a Congolese resident of Makindye, of $25,000 and a small bag.
The incident occurred on March 10, 2025, at Senana supermarket junction, Buganda Road, when the robbers, backed by five motorcycles, followed Katungo on foot and kicked her before fleeing towards Wandegeya using Buganda Road.
Kalema Samuel, 21, a bodaboda rider from Kawempe, and Mwima Asumani, 26, a bodaboda rider from Kasangati, were arrested in Kyanja using available technology.
They are currently detained at CPS Kampala on charges of aggravated robbery and have confessed to the crime.
SSP Patrick Onyango the police spokesperson Kampala metropolitan noted that the exhibits were also recovered from them, and they are expected to appear in court next week.
