The Uganda Police Force has taken a major step toward modernizing its operations with strong support from President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. A key request presented during the President’s visit to Kibuli was for assistance in constructing a Data Analysis Centre. This centre is designed to digitalize the management of police statistics, replacing the old, long-standing manual systems that have slowed down operations for years.

Director CID AIGP Tom Magambo, while at the launch of the annual crime report at police headquarters, revealed that within just one year, the building has already been successfully roofed. This milestone signals the commitment of the Uganda Police Force to strengthen its investigative capacity and embrace modern technology. The new facility will play a crucial role in collecting, analyzing, and reporting data efficiently, which will improve the ability of police officers to prevent, detect, and respond to crime effectively.

Beyond technology, the police continue to focus on deepening community partnerships and enhancing cooperation with other agencies. The Data Analysis Centre is expected to not only streamline operations but also improve overall public safety and security across Uganda. For AIGP Magambo, seeing the building rise at Kibuli is a symbol of the police’s determination to transform their work and build a more secure, data-driven future.
