3800 Male Drivers Below 35 years Killed in Road Accidents – Police Report Reveals

The general Public has been left in total fear and shock after police Crime annual report has revealed that a total of 3819 Male Drivers Below the age of 35 years were killed in road clashes in the calender year of 2025 leaving behind millions of Orphans, Spyreports has learnt.
According to traffic report released by Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Lawrence Nuwabiine, Traffic police recorded a total of 322441 cases in 2925 Compared to 426432 that was reported in 2024 showing 24.4% decrease. ” Despite the reduction in total cases reported, the number of fatal accidents increased from 4434 in 2024 to 4602 in 2025 showing an increase of 3.7%,” Reads part of the traffic report adding that serious and Minor accidents also increased from 3.3% to 4.5% respectively.


The report further states that a total of 5383 people were killed in road accidents in 2025 compared to 5144 in 2024 showing an increase of 4.6%. The number of serious accidents also increased from in 2025 compared to 2024. The report further indicates that the highest number of crashes was recorded in December with 2443 and lowest in June with 1979. ” The fatal accidents were recorded higher in October with 523 and lowest in June with 390,” Adds the report adding that Fridays also recorded the highest number of clashes with total of 3921 followed by Saturday 3913 and Sunday with 3879 while Thursday had the lowest crashes with 3462. The report further says death accidents also occurred during weekends with Sundays leading with 810 followed by Saturday 729. The fatalities increase over weekends was attributed to increased travels, leisure activities and commercial movements among others,” Shows the report. It has also been captured that most road crashes were recorded during day hours between 18:00hrs and 19:59 hrs with 1032 while fatal crashes were also high during the same period with 711,”Report says. The report has also identified the unique accidents which occurred last year and they included Kiryandongo bus crash where 44 people died on spot and 66 seriously injured, Hoima accidents where 19 died on spot and Iganga road accident where 10 people also died on spot. The report has also shown that Most fatal accidents were recorded higher in Western districts commonly known as Rwiizi followed by KMP South, East and North with the highest numbers from 393 and 417 respectively.
OFFENDERS ARRESTED.
The report has further indicated that in 2025, a total of 322441 traffic offenders were arrested in various safety violations. 76069 were apprehended for using vehicles in poor mechanical conditions ,67190 careless driving. The report also shows traffic police issued a total of 322441 tickets to offenders collecting billions of Shillings.
