Security has been deployed at the Tooro Kingdom administrative offices in Muchwa, Fort Portal City, following the postponement of Tuesday’s Rukurato (Supreme Council) sitting by Kingdom Prime Minister Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire.
Despite the postponement, some Rukurato members led by Babiito royal clan head Omusuga Charles Kamurasi gathered at Muchwa to proceed with the sitting.

However, security blocked them from accessing the Orukurato chambers saying they had instructions from the Prime Minister.
Babiito clan spokesperson Moses Musinguzi said the Prime Minister had no authority to stop the Rukurato from sitting.
The standoff comes amid a growing succession dispute over who will succeed the late King Oyo whose body is expected to arrive in Uganda on Thursday.
