A smart parade by the armed forces has been held at Nkoyoyo Boarding Primary School in Buikwe District as part of the build-up to the International Labour Day 2026 celebrations. The information about the event was shared by State House Uganda, highlighting the importance of the occasion and its national significance.
The event was organized under the theme: “Safeguarding Uganda’s Progress: Empowering the Workforce and Promoting Decent Work for Competitive Enterprises.” This theme focuses on protecting Uganda’s development achievements while promoting fair working conditions and strengthening the country’s workforce for better productivity and growth.
During the parade, the armed forces demonstrated strong discipline, unity, and coordination. Their movements were well-organized and professional, reflecting the training and commitment required in maintaining peace and security in the country. The display also showed how security forces contribute to safeguarding Uganda’s progress and stability.
Students, teachers, and members of the local community at Nkoyoyo Boarding Primary School watched the parade with great interest. Many learners were inspired by the display, seeing firsthand the level of discipline and teamwork within the armed forces. Teachers noted that such events help young people appreciate values like hard work, respect, and patriotism.
