The Kampala Metropolitan Police focused on locations notorious for robbery, burglary, and drug-related offenses, demonstrating their commitment to public safety.

In Entebbe Division, police conducted a disruptive night operation on 19th May 2026, patrolling the neighborhoods of Bendegere, Kasenyi, and Nakiwogo. During the operation, officers arrested 31 suspects who were found with suspected narcotic substances and other criminal exhibits. The suspects are currently detained at Entebbe Police Station awaiting prosecution.

Meanwhile, a separate operation in Goma Division, Mukono District, targeted the areas of Jojo, Sonde, and Misindye on 18th May 2026. Police arrested seven individuals from these known “black spots.” The suspects were charged and are being held at Goma Police Station under Mukono CPS as investigations continue.

ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, Deputy Public Relations Officer for Kampala Metropolitan Police, emphasized that these operations are part of a broader strategy to disrupt criminal networks and make communities safer. The police have vowed to continue such initiatives to ensure that residents live without fear of crime.
