Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has announced the launch of ‘Operation Maliza Ufisadi’, a high-profile crackdown targeting corruption and the recovery of stolen public money and property. According to Gen. Muhoozi, the operation has already retrieved significant amounts, which will be returned to the Treasury.
“I will give a partial report soon,” Gen. Muhoozi posted on social media, emphasizing the seriousness of the drive. He warned government officials to fully cooperate with security services to avoid arrest, sending a strong message that corruption will no longer be tolerated.
The operation comes amid growing concerns over misuse of public funds and illegal enrichment within government institutions. Authorities have vowed that those found guilty of embezzlement or misappropriation will face swift justice, while recovered assets will be restored to the public coffers.
With Operation Maliza Ufisadi, Gen. Muhoozi aims to set a precedent, demonstrating that public resources must be protected and that corruption has real consequences. Citizens are watching closely, hopeful that the crackdown will strengthen transparency and accountability across government offices.
