Dear Honourable Members of the 12th Parliament,
Fellow Ugandans,
I, Hon. Princess Persis Namuganza, Bukono County MP, address you today with absolute clarity and unwavering conviction.
I am still firmly standing for the position of Speaker of the 12th Parliament.
This is not a personal ambition. This is a national duty born out of a deep and genuine love for our country. I stand for Speakership because our Parliament desperately needs a new chapter , one defined by integrity, discipline, respect for every Member, transparency, accountability, and total commitment to the fight against corruption.
We have witnessed encouraging progress in recent days: the bold retraction by the Patriotic League of Uganda, the clear guidance from our leaders, and the renewed determination of His Excellency the President to cleanse our institutions. These developments have strengthened my resolve. The good cause I have championed for years, a clean, respected, and effective Parliament that honours the sacrifices of our liberators is more alive today than ever before.
I stand ready to serve every Honourable Member equally, regardless of party or region. I stand ready to restore the dignity of the House, to modernise our procedures, to uphold the highest ethical standards, and to ensure that Parliament becomes a true beacon of good governance that the entire nation can be proud of.
To all Ugandans: this is our moment. I humbly ask for your continued prayers, your support, and your voices. Together, under the leadership of His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa, we shall build the Parliament our country deserves.

I remain available to serve.
