Hon. Ngabirano Stephen Connects with Ryakahungu!! A True Leader for Real Community Solutions

Must read

Hon. Ngabirano Stephen, aspiring Member of Parliament for Sheema North, recently visited Ryakahungu village in Muzira Parish—a visit that showed the true character of his leadership. He didn’t come to talk at people; he came to listen, understand, and walk alongside the community as they shared their daily struggles.

The meeting with local leaders and residents was emotional. One by one, community members spoke about the serious problems they face—problems that have gone ignored for too long.

The biggest issue raised was the severe lack of clean water. Ryakahungu is a hilly area, and residents—especially women and children—walk nearly 10 kilometers to fetch water from a shared valley source. The water is not only far away but also unsafe for drinking. Hon. Stephen was deeply moved by this and said it’s completely unacceptable. He pledged to work hand in hand with government bodies and development partners to bring clean water closer to people’s homes.

Another concern was the lack of electricity. In today’s world, light is life—it powers education, health services, businesses, and safety. Yet Ryakahungu remains in the dark. Hon. Stephen promised to fight for equal access to electricity across Sheema North, starting with areas that have been forgotten.

Residents also shared their struggles with health care. The nearest health facility is far, and many people must walk long distances, even in emergencies. For pregnant women, the elderly, and children, this is a deadly risk. Hon. Stephen responded with passion, saying healthcare should not be a privilege for a few—it is a right for all. He committed to advocating for better health services in hard-to-reach communities.

What truly stood out was Hon. Stephen’s humility. He didn’t come with big speeches or empty promises. He came with a listening ear and a caring heart. He was there to understand, not to impress. This is the kind of leadership people want—someone who sees their pain and is ready to act.

While many politicians appear only during campaigns, Hon. Ngabirano Stephen is already on the ground. He is doing the work now, walking with the people, and planning solutions that respond to their real needs.

Sheema North needs a leader who doesn’t just talk about problems from afar, but one who walks into the heart of the community and stands with the people.

Vote Hon. Ngabirano Stephen: A Voice for the Voiceless. A Hand for the Forgotten. A Leader for Real Change.
